What else has happened...

This year, AUTILLUS (the association of children's book writers and illustrators of Switzerland) celebrates their 20th anniversary. That called for a celebration! On 27th August, 30 of the about 150 members met in Brugg.

A few of them were only able to stay for lunch. After the meal, the others had to decide: short or long. A short stroll to the restaurant where the conclusion of the day would take place, or a two-hour-hike. In spite of the heat, a goodly number of intrepid ones hit the road along the rivers Aare and Reuss.
Close to the destination
Five bridges and an estimated 80°C further on, the hikers met at the restaurant "Kurve" in Windisch, not after having refreshed themselves at a fountain. The restaurant had opened especially for AUTILLUS. According to Alice Gabathuler and Diego Balli, who'd organised the event, the desserts there were scrummy. A statement duly tested and agreed upon.
The intrepid ones
It was great to get together outside of a meeting for once. At last, the members had a chance to chat and frolic as much as they liked.
